Coco Comin School for Performing Arts, Barcelona, Spain, is the LKTDS FULL DIPLOMA PROGRAM main branch. Carrying out our qualification system within this renowned school that grants Professional Academic Certification, has been an important breakthrough for Tap Dance in Europe. It is nowadays a pioneering center in which our 8-year program of Tap Dance high studies is recognized as a formal professional formation trajectory.
- The program offers 3 optional courses:
3 years – LKTDS ELEMENTARY
5 years – LKTDS INTERMEDIATE
8 years – LKTDS ADVANCED - Professional training program designed to be approached as post- secondary education which is compatible with other simultaneous formations.
- The complete formation within the FULL DIPLOMA PROGRAM is subject to:
a) Receiving Ballet, Jazz and/or Modern Dance lessons in the same school.
b) Obtaining credits within the LKTDS examination system.
c) Attending specific lessons designed to heighten the studies and deepen the knowledge.
d) Participating in school projects. - The formation includes:
a) Technique; rhythm, Jazz & general music theory; coordination work; body & posture awareness; terminology; classical Tap Dance repertoire; composition and improvisation.
b) Continuous development of mature and independent thinking, of initiative taking along the process and of individual creativity.
