2025 was a year of renewed momentum, structural growth, and creative expansion for LKTDS. It marked a period in which new impulses became sustained practices, and experimentation evolved into consolidated frameworks.
GLOW – BCN & TLV
GLOW BCN and TLV were established as our annual expo celebrated in our main branches, becoming central pillars of the school’s artistic and pedagogical life.
These platforms brought together:
- formal examination processes
- regular intraschool activities
- special workshops and community gatherings
- international collaborations
- showcasing of new creation
Together, they reflect the full ecosystem of our work — from learning and research to performance and professional projection.
Structuring Our Core Areas of Work
In 2025, we officially launched distinct branding for the main dimensions of our activity, clarifying both our internal structure and our external communication:
- Upgrading – our examination and evaluation framework
- Makering – student-led composition and creative research
- Progressing – the exposition of each level’s evolving technical and artistic development
- Representing – professional creation, collaborations, and performances through our companies
This structure allows us to articulate the continuity between education, creation, and professional practice.
Consolidation of Our Companies
The launch of our social media presence accompanied several projects, most notably a key milestone:
the formal consolidation of our professional and pre-professional companies:
- Tap Tales, the Barcelona Tap Dance Conservatory Company
- Nekisha Tap Dance Ensemble
This consolidation strengthened our artistic identity and expanded our visibility locally and internationally.
Performances & International Presence
Throughout the season, LKTDS and its companies performed in a variety of contexts. Highlights included:
- appearances on national television
- performances at the Centre Culturel Duhamel in Vitré, France, within the framework of the Tap Breizh International Festival
These engagements reinforced our commitment to dialogue between education, creation, and international exchange.
